At press time, seven episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 have aired. South Beach is proud to host the queens from Season 9. The next queen to grace the South Beach stage is Peppermint!

You might be asking what the following RuPaul’s Drag Race queens have in common:

Season 2’s Sonique

Season 3’s Carmen Carrera and Stacy Layne Matthews

Season 4’s Jiggly Caliente and Kenya Michaels

Season 5’s Monica Beverly Hillz

Season 6’s Gia Gunn

RuPaul’s Drag Race prides itself on the fact that it showcases queens of all shapes, sizes and colors of the rainbow, and the queens named above just so happen to be the queens who have come out as transgender, either during the airing of their season, or after their season aired.

On Saturday night, May 20, South Beach welcomes Peppermint, who is the first contestant to be openly out as a transgender woman prior to the start of the competition. There will be one big show with Peppermint on May 20 with an encore after midnight, followed by an autograph and photo shoot party. Come have your photo taken with the amazing Peppermint from Season 9 of RuPaul’s DragRace!

Minty Fresh!

Throughout the first seven episodes that have aired as of press time, Peppermint has been Dzhighdz in two episodes (not what it sounds like—LOL! In this case, being Dzhighdz is the next best thing to being declared the winner of the main challenge each episode), Dzsafedz in three episodes, Dzlowdz in one episode, and was in the bottom two in Episode 6. By landing in the bottom two, Peppermint had to lip sync for her life against fellow contestant Cynthia Lee Fontaine.

Let’s go back to that lip-sync for your life in Episode 6, where Peppermint and Cynthia Lee Fontaine lip-synced to DzMusicdz by Madonna. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s an absolute must. Watch it now! You’ll be mighty glad that you did. It’s full of high energy, glamour, sexiness, and perfect lip sync skills, and shows just what Peppermint does best: perform! In my humble opinion, it’s one of the most entertaining lip syncs I’ve seen on the show—seriously!

Will Peppermint’s amazing lip sync and performance talent keep her on track towards the title of America’s Next Drag SuperStar for Season 9? Stay tuned to find out!
