He recently debuted alongside veteran actress Jenifer Lewis in an online scripted series appropriately called Jenifer Lewis and Shangela, and has also launched two stand-up comedy tours. Laquifa is Halleloosin' It! is available on DVD and he is currently touring with Straight Outta Paris.
He’s also released two songs, which were both featured on Lifetime's Dance Moms.
In 2010, Shangela was crowned California's Entertainer of the Year and went on to win first runner-up at the national EOY pageant. She has also been named one of OUT Magazine's "100 Most Compelling People."
His most well known credit, though, is being the only contestant in LogoTV's RuPaul's Drag Race history to compete in two seasons (seasons two and three).

Alyssa Edwards returns to Texas
A native Texan and legend in the American drag pageant world, Alyssa Edwards is known as the breakout star from the fifth season of LogoTV's RuPaul's Drag Race. Placing among the top six contestants, he has gone on to receive attention via Alyssa's Secret, his hit YouTube series.
Alyssa, AKA Justin Johnson, first performed as a drag entertainer nearly ten years ago. Since then, he has not only created a name for himself on stage but also transformed his passion for performance into a thriving business with Beyond Belief, his dance studio for children and young adults.
Alyssa is represented by Say What Entertainment and continues to perform all over the world including the U.S., UK, Guam and Australia.
‘Get sick’ning’ with Laganja Estranja
This queen has culture. Laganja Estranja, a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance and choreography at California Institute of the Arts.
After appearing as a contestant on LogoTV's Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race, Laganja has traveled the world, headlining in Europe and walking in the Melange Brasil Fashion Show in Rio de Janeiro.
Laganja is also a featured rap artist on several singles including "Got Beat" and "Gold Grill BBQ," and is currently working on her own mix tape with artists such as Rye Rye and Wish. Her jewelry line, "Laganja Estranja is My Enemy" by CHRISHABANA and make-up line in collaboration with X-Tar Cosmetics can be purchased at Round2LA in Los Angeles, as well as online.
Laganja has also appeared as a contortionist alongside Christina Aguilera at the American Music Awards, in Austin Young's Tranimal Workshop, in Gareth Pugh's fashion film Pitti, and in Project Mermaids, a table book that celebrities and models as mermaids. As an artist, Laganja encourages all with the cry: “Let’s get sick’ninggg!”
